To address the diverse needs of adults with disabilities, particularly the challenges they face after leaving the education system, the Down Syndrome Foundation R.O.C. provides a variety of daytime care services tailored to their abilities. For those with more severe disabilities who require significant support through personnel and equipment for daily life, learning, and rehabilitation, the Foundation offers daytime services focused on physical care, daily living assistance, assistive device education and guidance, temporary care and respite services, and care management consultations.
In addition to providing physical and daily living support, the program includes cognitive courses, craft activities, life skills training, and social adaptation activities. These efforts emphasize maintaining and strengthening self-care abilities, improving personal quality of life, preventing and delaying aging, and implementing community-based care. By doing so, the program also aims to alleviate the burdens on families and primary caregivers.
